Ventura County Public Health
Ventura County Public Health is a vital partner offering a variety of service at the Pleasant Valley Neighborhood for Learning Family Resource Center. Services include:
- Developmental Screenings – A Public Health Nurse and a Health Educator are available at the PV NfL Family Resource Center to provide free developmental check-ups to your child (0-5 years of age). Developmental check-ups provide a quick and simple way to see how your child is growing and developing.
- Family Support Program – Family Support Specialist are available to assist parents and families with children birth to five years of age who have developmental, behavioral, and/or learning concerns. In addition, Family Support Specialists are available to assist parent in understanding their child’s developmental needs and accessing community resources that can support their child’s development.
Interface Children Family Services –
Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is offered to parents experiencing challenging behaviors in their children ages five and under. Through individual or group sessions, parents learn new skills that will help turn negative child behaviors into positive ones.nbsp;
Clinicas del Camino Real
Oral Health Mobile Clinic - The mobile dental clinic visits the PV NfL Family Resource Center on a monthly basis and offers children 5 years and under with no health/dental insurance free screening, cleaning & fluoride varnishing and treatment.
